Import Profile Data from Excel

First, format the stationing so that it is read as a whole number as seen below (not 10+00, etc). Next adjust the column width of the stationing column to 5:

Left justify both the stationing and elevation columns so the output will format correctly in the txt file you will output:

Save the file as a space delimited file (*.PRN). After that, rename the *.PRN file with a *.TXT file extension so that AutoCAD can import it:

Start the create profile from file command:

Select the PRN file you just saved and renamed as a TXT file:

Select the appropriate alignment, style, name, and layer for your profile:

You're Done.
